A Whole New Class of Racing … The Moore 33

A mid-sized competition-focused sailboat designed to take sailing to Moore Races in Moore Places!

This Alan Andrews-designed trailerable sloop is scheduled for launch at Moore’s Watsonville, California production facility in Spring 2022.

Andrews’ iconic design skills in combination with Moore’s renowned manufacturing expertise will deliver exactly what sailing needs now - a high-quality, mid-sized racer that exudes the designer’s graceful lines and elegant style while packing legendary performance and speed into just 33 feet.

Likened to a production sports car with all the latest technology, in keeping with modern hull shapes, the light boat features a 10-foot beam that increases power to carry sail, enhance planning, and be a fun, fast, and easy to sail performance sailboat.

With a displacement of only 3,750 pounds and a retractable keel, the boat will be launch-able from most yacht club hoists, appealing to sailors who want to broaden their race schedule while reducing the confines or expense of a slip

Or those who want to trailer to and from races coast to coast. Beyond its good looks, the boat’s versatility will appeal to those moving up from day-sailors or dinghies and those wanting to downsize without reducing the intensity of competition.

 Capable of hitting speeds in the 20-knot range;

the Moore 33 will be a spirited boat giving sailors the flexibility to enter various North American classic regattas for point-to-point or long-distance races – from the Chicago to Mackinac, Nantucket Race Week, Fort Lauderdale to Key West, or here in California for its Offshore Race Week, Newport to Cabo, or Swiftsure in the Northwest, and even Pacific Cup and Transpac, then returning to port or trailering home – while being just as competitive in buoy and class-racing competitions. Offered with a variety of options, the Moore 33 can be tailored for distance racing with a four-person crew or for buoy, or coastal racing with a crew of up to seven or eight.
